It’s already March which means St Patrick’s Day and Easter are just around the corner! Not only that, but it’s time for the footy season to kick off. So grab your friends and family, swing by Cellarbrations and discover our list of expert cocktail recipes and tips to celebrate everything March.

St Patrick’s Day

There’s nothing more Irish than a delicious glass of Guinness, so invite your friends over, throw on some green and raise a glass to Saint Patrick. Here at Cellarbrations, we love to go that extra mile for every occasion, so go all out and embrace the day with all its traditions and organise a green-themed get-together with family and friends! But don’t let your celebrations stop there. Our list of four-leaf clover coloured cocktails are all the more reason to really make the most of the day.


Green Apple Martini


Ingredients
120ml SKYY vodka
120ml fresh green apple and lime juice
15ml maple syrup or honey
Crushed ice
1 large green apple
60ml water
The juice of 1 large lime

Method
Blend apples, water and lime juice until smooth and then strain. Shake apple, lime juice, vodka, ice and maple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Strain into chilled glasses.

Minty Pear Mojito

Ingredients
2 peeled and chopped pears
3/4 cup fresh mint leaves
3-4 tbsp agave nectar
4 tbsp fresh lime juice
150ml Baron Samedi spiced rum
6 cups soda water


Method
Place the chopped pears, mint leaves, agave nectar, and lime juice in the bottom of your pitcher. Muddle the ingredients. Pour in rum and soda and then pour over ice and serve. Top with more fresh mint or lime wedges.

Matcha Honey Spritzer


Ingredients
250ml Wolf Blass Yellow Label Chardonnay
¼ tsp Matcha Powder
1 tbsp Honey
60ml Ginger ale

Method
Dissolve matcha powder in 1 teaspoon of warm water. Stir in honey until well mixed. Add ice, dry white wine and ginger ale. Enjoy!

Footy season kick off!

Footy season is back so grab your mates and a few drinks to enjoy the game. We’ve put together the perfect drink and snack suggestions to make sure you knock it out of the park this March.

Scrumptions Sausage Rolls

Ingredients
300g beef mince
1 brown onion, diced
1 carrot, grated
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
½ tsp dried mixed herbs
½ tsp ground black pepper
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
1 tbsp milk

Method
Combine mince, onion, carrot, egg, parsley, dried herbs and pepper and mix until combined. Cut the pastry in half. Place one-quarter of the mince mix along the long edge of the pastry, and roll up to enclose the mince. Cut the roll into four pieces. Place the pastry down on a lined baking tray, seam side down. Repeat these steps with the rest of the pastry and mince mix. Brush the pastry with milk and baked for 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Serve with tomato sauce.

Zesty Lemon Pepper BBQ Salmon

Ingredients
¼ cup lemon pepper seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves
4 salmon fillets
2 lemons

Method
Blend lemon, pepper, salt, olive oil and garlic and rub into salmon fillets. Grill on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Garnish with parsley and lemon.

Wild Yak is fruity and goes down perfectly with a lemon pepper BBQ salmon

Heavenly Hamburgers


Ingredients
170g feta, crumbled
2 tsp fresh oregano, minced
2 tsp fresh rosemary
3/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp lemon zest, finely grated
700g ground lamb or beef
1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp sugar
4 tbsp olive oil
4 sandwich rolls
1 large tomato, sliced
1/4 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
8 cos lettuce leaves

Method
Combine feta, oregano, rosemary, 1/2 tsp pepper, and the lemon zest. Add ground meat and mix gently. Form into four patties. Blend olives, dill, parsley, lemon juice, sugar, and remaining 1/4 tsp pepper. Add 3 tbsp olive oil, to make a smooth paste. Heat grill to medium-hot and cook burgers until browned on both sides and cooked through, approx. 10 to 12 minutes in total. Split rolls and toast cut sides on the grill. Brush toasted sides with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and spread each with about 1 tsp of the olive spread. Top with patties, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and lettuce.

Sizzling Steak Sauces


If perfectly cooked steak is more your style then you can’t go past one of our tasty sauce options


Salsa Verde
Chop a small bunch each of parsley, chives and mint into small pieces and mix in a bowl with 1 teaspoon of capers, two or three chopped anchovies, a crushed clove of garlic, the juice of one lemon and three tablespoons of olive oil. Mix it well and season to taste.

Spicy Chimichurri
Put 1 clove of garlic, 1 red chilli, a small bunch each of coriander and parsley and 3 tablespoons of red wine vinegar in a food processor. Blitz until finely chopped then add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and blitz again. Season and refrigerate until serving.

Aioli
Mix 165g mayonnaise, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 ½ tbsp lemon juice, salt and pepper in a bowl. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
